We monitor conditions throughout the winter months, working closely with the Met Office in order to provide the most appropriate cost-effective winter services for you while at the same time minimising disruption to you or your business. Our dedicated experienced team are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week allowing us to respond to any rapidly evolving winter weather emergencies, giving you complete peace of mind. A well known family in Dumfries and Galloway and in National Agricultural Contracting circles, the Watsons of Byeloch Farm operate one of the largest and most established agricultural contracting businesses in Scotland.
Drew launched the business in 1959 and in 1967 married Jeannie, who swiftly followed Drews passion for all things farming. Both drove the business forward in the early years, priding themselves in the reputation the business had with the local community. Third partner, Jeannie and Drews son John showed a keen interest in farming and business from an early age and through time it was inevitable John would become an integral part of the modern business.
After University John threw himself into the family business injecting renewed drive and enthusiasm in ways only John can. The team remain very family orientated and currently employ a number of friends and family members, cultivating a culture of real togetherness within the core of the business.
The business continues to grow through challenging times for both UK farming and business and we look forward to the next chapter at Drew Watson & Co.
